Clean brushes clean face, even cosmetic brushes can be a hot bed for bacteria and oil build up which can result clogged pores, black heads and unsightly acne outbreaks. Invest in a makeup brush cleaner and clean your cosmetic brushes once a week.

Another alternative is to use a mild liquid soap to clean your brush and rinse with water. To prevent the hairs of your brushes from tangling, just comb through it after washing, stand your brushes in an upright position to dry.

If you use cosmetic sponges to apply your makeup as well, always wash them with mild soap liquid and rinse thoroughly after use.
